On 18 January 2011, a protocol was signed between the US Embassy and FLUP for the creation of an American Corner in the Faculty Library.
This partnership provides the Faculty with annual funding to organise various academic events and activities. It also allows for the acquisition of sophisticated technological equipment for the different spaces that make up the AC (which can be used by the academic community upon prior reservation).
Selected spaces in the FLUP Library that allow students to use modern IT equipment such as computers, laptops and tablets.
A laboratory dedicated to digital humanities equipped with a TV studio (set and control room), a radio studio and 4 radio islands equipped with all the necessary resources for content production.
Multipurpose space with equipment for capturing and transmitting images and sound, dedicated to holding lectures, conferences, workshops and other events, with seating for 40.
