FLUP promotes the establishment of partnerships with foreign universities for the academic mobility of students through the various bilateral co-operation agreements established with universities on all continents.

Bachelor's, Master's or PhD students wishing to carry out a period of study or research in institutions that are not covered by a partnership with FLUP, under the Erasmus+ programme or a cooperation agreement (or similar programme), for a maximum period of one academic year.
Carrying out curricular, voluntary or professional internships, as well as research internships (at master's and doctoral level) during training or as recent graduates at all levels of higher education.
Undergraduate, master's or doctoral students interested in doing an internship can do so under the following programmes:
Candidates should always contact FLUP’s Department and/or Research Unit in which they are interested beforehand. Only after obtaining acceptance of the orientation of the proposed work/research plan will it be possible to formalise the application with the International Office.
FLUP (OUT) students currently have the opportunity to enrich their curriculum by participating in academic/professional mobility programmes in more than 50 countries. Mobility experiences have many advantages:

FLUP opens annual applications for mobility agreements with institutions in countries in Latin America, North America, Africa, Asia and Oceania. The lists are published when the calls are launched: the first call usually takes place between December and February, and the second between September and October.
A national mobility programme that offers the possibility of carrying out a period of study at a national university, with full academic recognition. This mobility also covers internships, end-of-course work or final projects as long as these activities are part of the course curriculum at the university of origin.

The Erasmus+ Programme supports internships abroad for students currently enrolled in higher education institutions in eligible countries at Bachelor's, Master's and PhD level.
With similar conditions to Erasmus+ (except for the financial support provided by this programme), it is also possible to carry out internships under other Cooperation Agreements that the University of Porto has with multiple institutions around the world.
