The Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto extended its offer of 2nd cycle studies with nine additional masters, which result from the adaptation of integrated masters according to Decree-Law No. 65/2018, of 16th August.

For information purposes only, we will distinguish the 2nd cycle studies between Stand-alone Masters and Continuity Masters (the ones resulting from the above-mentioned adaptation of Integrated Masters), since there are some differences in terms of applicants, deadlines for application, ranking criteria, and documents required.

Therefore, depending on the master(s) (2nd cycle studies) you wish to apply for, you should carefully read the information below regarding Stand-alone Masters and/or Continuity Masters.

Applications are made through an institutional competition and are subject to the conditions and deadlines set out in an annual notice.

The academic year starts in September and ends in July. The selected students are provided with an acceptance letter which they will need for the visa application. Although applications may be submitted in the 1st or 2nd phase, we advise non-European students to apply in the 1st phase to obtain the student visa on time for the start of the academic year.
