One of the objectives of this course is to develop skills in original research and innovative entrepreneurship in a specific area of physical engineering, where the ability to solve conceptual problems and the ease of use of scientific equipment play a central role in the competitiveness of responding to current societal challenges.

Engineers or project managers in technology start-ups or large established companies in areas such as energy, nanotechnology, materials science, optoelectronics, instrumentation, large measurement laboratories, applied mathematics or finance.
Research roles across a range of industries including education, automotive, aerospace, defence, public sector, healthcare, energy, materials engineering, computing and IT.
