Academic Life - Work Placements

FEUP encourages students to actively seek out internships, promoting the development of skills and a multicultural experience.

An internship can be an excellent opportunity to gain the skills and experience needed to enter the labour market. It's a way to develop both technical and soft skills, contributing to a multicultural experience that should be encouraged. FEUP wants to encourage students to actively seek internships or career development alternatives, thereby increasing their proactivity.

Each year, one of the largest recruitment events, the FEUP Career Fair, takes place on campus. It's an opportunity that attracts more than a hundred companies interested in and looking for new talent, creating opportunities for possible job offers and internships.

Internships

Throughout their academic career, students have the opportunity to interact with companies or other institutions through internships as part of degree projects, dissertations in a business environment or summer internships, which can take place in Portugal, in Europe through the Erasmus+ programme or in Japan through the Vulcanus programme.
