The Studies and Management Support Service (SEAG) operates within the scope of supporting the management of FEUP.
SEAG is responsible for:
- Supporting the development of strategic and activity plans;
- Supporting the preparation of activity and financial reports, as well as sustainability reports;
- Supporting decision-making by providing adequate information;
- Monitoring and providing activity, financial, and sustainability indicators for FEUP;
- Conducting historical and forward-looking studies in the context of FEUP management;
- Providing studies on the indicators used by rankings and monitoring the position of U.Porto in the field of Engineering;
- Developing and managing models for collecting, organizing, processing, and analyzing information, transforming it into a resource to support various organizational processes/activities;
- Monitoring the use of information systems, conducting studies on the status and quality of data, and identifying and specifying information requirements and needs for process improvement;
- Managing FEUP’s quality assurance system;
- Developing monitoring and feedback instruments aimed at continuous improvement, and disseminating the results;
- Organizing and overseeing external evaluation, accreditation, and certification processes;
- Organizing and overseeing processes for managing corruption risks and related violations;
- Promoting self-assessment processes;
- Other tasks related to supporting FEUP’s management activities.
