Areas of activity

FEUP offers and encourages various initiatives to promote Integration and Academic Success, directly linked to the teaching and learning process. An example of this is the Academic Support provided. Additionally, a range of Extracurricular and Sports Activities are offered, which foster academic participation and involvement, serving as a source of inclusion and the positive, proactive development of the academic experience.

The Curricular Unit "Projeto FEUP" is designed to facilitate social and academic integration for students newly arrived at FEUP.

Finally, the University of Porto provides the Academic Integration Kit online, as well as the Academic Integration and Well-being service, based at the University of Porto’s Social Action Services.

Psychological support aims to address issues related to:

  • Anxiety and depression
  • Lack of motivation and study difficulties
  • Uncertainties regarding the course
  • Social, family, and personal difficulties

In this regard, the GOI offers:

  • Individual Psychological Intervention – Testimonials
  • Psychology Consultation
  • Brief Psychotherapy

This is a confidential, individual intervention, which may be short or long-term, based on an empathetic and supportive relationship, allowing the student to find alternatives and develop strategies to resolve their problems. This service is free and available to all FEUP students.
