Schools - School Visits

FEUP helps secondary school students choose a career in Engineering through school visits and tailored presentations to address their queries.

Numerous secondary school students have doubts regarding the academic path they wish to pursue or which area of Engineering to choose. Therefore, FEUP opens its doors with a programme tailored to the visitors' interests. Additionally, FEUP is available to organise visits to secondary schools, offering a presentation on Engineering, the university, and some of the study programmes included in our initial education offerings.

School Visits

Many schools organise events to help their students choose a higher education programme that aligns with their interests and vocation. Events such as career fairs, vocational guidance, higher education days, lectures, or workshops, among others, have been used to address students' concerns.
In this regard, FEUP strives to be present whenever possible to help clarify students about a future in Engineering. Currently, if there is interest, our presence is also ensured through platforms such as Zoom, Google Teams, or Google Meet.

Visits to FEUP

Knowing that not everyone will be able to visit us during the Profession Week: Engineering, FEUP welcomes school visits throughout the year. Students can visit general facilities or specific departments, attend laboratory demonstrations, project presentations, lectures, and more.
Visits should be scheduled in advance and are subject to the availability of the respective departments.
