The Documentation Services began its activity in February 1996 and its main mission is to assist and support the Faculty and its community in promoting and disseminating research in Law and Criminology, through its information resources.

General Information

Organisation of the FDUP Documentation Services

The documentation of the FDUP Documentation Services is freely accessible on the three floors of the FDUP Library. Entrance is from the 2nd Floor of the Faculty.

Room 1.14:

  • Civil Law

Room 1.13:

  • Civil Law;
  • Various subjects;
  • Periodical publications, disposed in alphabetic order of title.

Room 1.12:

  • Periodical publications, disposed in alphabetic order of title;
  • Master's and PhD’s thesis and other academic works.

Room 2.13:

  • Reception desk and direct user support;
  • Reference books.

Room 2.12:

  • Subsidiary subjects of Law, Economics, Tax Law, Methodology and Philosophy of Law.

Room 2.11:

  • International law and public law.

Room 3.14 and 3.17:

  • Reserved area for technical services.

Room 3.13 (Gallery):

Area of special nucleus:

  • Pedro Veiga;
  • Montreal University.

Room 3.12:

  • Criminal Law;
  • Criminology.

Room 3.16:

  • Private work cabinets for teachers and researchers.

Room 3.15:

  • Group work cabinet.
