Institutional - Presentation

Founded in 1995, the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto (FDUP) is one of the youngest and most innovative Portuguese Law Schools. After all, only here is it possible to acquire undergraduate and postgraduate training in Criminology – an area that, along with Law, defines our training offer.

FDUP stands out for its research activity in the fields of legal sciences and crime science, being constituted by two Research Centres. It is currently attended by over 1500 students and provides services to the community, under collaboration protocols signed with public and private entities, in areas such as the prevention of environmental crime and criminal mediation.

After having passed through several temporary facilities, FDUP is located, since 2004, in Rua dos Bragas, a building neighbouring other U.Porto structures, such as the FLUP Communication Sciences Campus and the UPTEC Creative Industries Campus.

As the FDUP is made of all those who mark (and have marked) its history, we challenged our community to answer the question "The FDUP, for me, is...". - see the result in the video below!
