Initially housed in the current Historical Building of the University of Porto, since 2007 FCUP has been integrated into a modern complex located in pole 3 (Campo Alegre) of the University of Porto.
The FCUP campus is spread over six main buildings which house not only the central services but also each of its six departments. The vast FCUP campus occupies an area corresponding to 60,000m² of construction, with a similar size of green landscaped area.
Also part of FCUP's valuable built heritage are the Vairão Agricultural Campus (Vila do Conde), the Geophysical Institute (Serra do Pilar - Vila Nova de Gaia), and the Prof. Manuel de Barros Astronomical Observatory (Monte da Virgem - Vila Nova de Gaia).
