Doing a Master in Chemistry was one of the wisest decisions I've ever made. FCUP has a complete curriculum and highly competent professors. Now that I've completed my master's, I feel that I've found the researcher in me, with the skills and expertise to meet the challenges of the labour market. For these and many other reasons, I intend to apply for a PhD programme. Come and discover the scientist in you by attending the Master in Chemistry.


My passion for chemistry began in secondary school. FCUP's Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry provides students with solid scientific training in its theoretical and laboratory components and helps you to develop a set of skills and abilities that will allow you to enter the labour market. Today I am certain that I made the best choice. After graduating, I decided to study for a master in Chemistry, also at FCUP, which taught me new skills and capabilities and broadened my knowledge in different chemistry-related areas through research-based learning. I strongly advise you to pursue an academic career in chemistry at FCUP!

My passion for Chemistry and my insatiable desire for continuous learning were the main catalysts for attending FCUP's Master's programme in Chemistry; and indeed this programme offers a solid curriculum that prepares you for a successful career, provides the opportunity to work in a research environment, gain practical experience in the laboratory, and develop the skills and knowledge you need to make a difference.
