Dental Medical Doctor, master in dental sciences and specialized in oral surgery and oral & maxillofacial regeneration. Rodrigo is a medical student at School of Medicine, University of Minho and a Ph.D. student in the International Doctoral Program in Molecular and Cellular Biotechnology applied to Health Sciences – ICBAS/FFUP, University of Porto. Researcher in the group – Microenvironments for New Therapies at i3S/INEB, dedicated to research in the areas of regenerative medicine and tissue engineering, to create new solutions for tissue regeneration. Rodrigo has advanced training in entrepreneurship and innovation. In 2019, Rodrigo won the European Innovation Academy, a leading technology entrepreneurship education program, by Stanford University, U.C. Berkeley, Google, and Silicon Valley. In 2021, he was one of the winners of the BIP Business Ignition Program and was awarded in the 110th anniversary of the University of Porto with the award for active citizenship in entrepreneurship and innovation. Founder and CEO of I-R3THERAPIES a start-up focused on innovative bioengineering approaches for tissue regeneration.
