(Non academic) Knowledge and Technology Transfer

An alumnus of ENS Paris-Saclay where he studied applied physics, Michel started his scientific career at Signals and Systems Laboratory, a joint laboratory of Supelec, CNRS and Paris XI university, specializing in the control of complex piecewise deterministic systems.
After a visiting period at the University of California San Diego, he joined MATRA Defense and Space (now Airbus) and headed its Image and Signal Processing Laboratory, working on various earth observation, command&control, intelligence and guidance programs, later becoming Vice President for the Ground Receiving Stations business unit. He then switched to medium size deep tech companies, developping international markets and integrating multicultural teams, first as the President and CEO of HORIBA Jobin Yvon, a spectroscopic instrumentation leader, then as COO of SURYS, a specialist in holographic authentication and security, and lately as COO of Amplitude Laser, the ultrafast laser pioneer. He also served the research and industry cooperation community as President of France Photonics and supported several start-up projects.
