Margarida Amaral was awarded the prize Excellence in E-Learning U.Porto for the work developed in teacher support in 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2008. She works for almost 20 years in the e-learning area in Higher Education and is highly experienced in teacher training, strategies for support in T&L communities and e-assessment. She is the Head of Educational Technologies (ET) Unit at the University of Porto which provides technical support and pedagogical orientation to all professors of the University. The ET Unit is also responsible for the development of MOOCs and distance learning courses.
