Laurent Pépin got a Ph.D in Genetics from University Paris-Orsay (now Paris-Saclay) . He was a researcher for 3 years at the laboratory of INRA in Jouy-en-Josas and CIRAD of Guadeloupe, then he did a 3-year post-doctoral stay at NIH, Bethesda, USA dedicated to molecular and cellular biology.
Laurent then joined a star-up in Clermont Ferrand. Then, he worked in various commercial and industrial companies first as scientific support for high throughput sequencing then in different position in sales, marketing, and Business Development for Contract Research Organizations in preclinical and genomics services, always at an international position. Currently Laurent is working at Genopole, as Prospection and Partnerships Director. Genopole is France leading Biocluster/biopark with currently 77 companies, 18 academic laboratories, 26 technological platforms and targeted trainings for biotech that respond to the needs of startups and energize the development of innovations.
Laurent has brought to Genopole his experience and network of more than 20 years at the national and international level with from start up to big pharmaceutical companies and international clusters.
Laurent is primarily involved in the development of this biocluster for real estate, international companies development and international partnerships with cluster and so he is the main contact point for any collaboration with Genopole.
