Prof. Dr. László Rovó rector of the University of Szeged, Head of the Clinic of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery of the Albert Szent-Györgyi Clinical Center.
He has been working there for 32 years. He has been the chair and professor of the department since 2012. He is a specialist of otorhinolaryngology (1993) and audiology (2001) and phoniatry (2006). His research interest focused on the surgical treatment of upper airway stenosis, head and neck oncology, reconstructive middle ear surgery, cochlear implantation and other implantable hearing aids. He wrote his PhD thesis titled ’Surgical-anatomical aspect of the cricoarytenoid joint’ in 2004. He published 139 scientific papers in prestigious journals, IF 96,98.
Member of the board Hungarian Society of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, member of the European Laryngological Society, Chevalier Jackson Association, Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Awards 2014. Order of Merit of the Hungarian Republic, Officer’s Cross,
