Isolde von Bülow studied Biology at the University of Tübingen, Germany. After having finished her
PhD in 1989 she worked as a postdoctoral researcher for a Swiss pharmaceutical company.
From 1992 on Isolde von Bülow took over various positions in science management, first at the University of Tübingen and since 1995 at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität
München. Among others she was responsible for the management of various interdisciplinary
research collaborations and doctoral programs at the university’s life science campus at GroßhadernMartinsried supported by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), European Framework Program, and the German Excellence Initiative.
Since 2008 Isolde von Bülow heads the GraduateCenterLMU, the central coordination and service unit for doctoral studies at LudwigMaximilians-Universität München.
National and international activities (selection): Representation of Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München in the League of European Research Universities (2008 -ff, steering committee of the Policy Group Doctoral Training), Member of the Advisory Board for the revision of the Guidelines for the Postdoc Phase Helmholtz Association (2017-2018), Member of the International Advisory Board: Evaluation of Supervisor Training at Karolinska Institutet, Sweden (2017-2018), Member of the Marie Sk?odowska Curie Expert Group (2013-15)
