The Innovation Support Programme, promoted by EIT Health Hub University of Porto, aims at supporting proof of concept and business model validation for innovative solutions in health.
What?
Through this programme, 15 selected projects with Technology Readiness Level (TLR) of 1 to 4 will receive training and mentorship, as well as, co-develop their business models with experts. 5 projects with TRL of 5 or more, will get up to 5.000€ to help them develop and implement a pilot of the solution. Moreover, they will also have access to market validation support, within the EIT Health community relevant stakeholders.
Who?
Applications are open until 30 July 2021 for students, researchers, start-ups and SMEs, from the north region of Portugal, that have a disruptive project in health.
How?
Applicants must fill the form for the lot they are applying to – projects with TLR of 1 to 4 (download) / projects with TLR of 5 or move (download) and send it via e-mail to [email protected] with “PAI application” on the subject.
Why?
The goal of this programme is in line with the hub’s mission, to strengthen the regional health innovation ecosystem. Real market validation and proof of concept are essential to ensure that companies are licenced and that solutions are transferred to the market and reach the end-user. By supporting these stages, we are adding value to the results of promising research done in the region.
EIT Health Hub team will analyze the projects and launch the results at the beginning of September, according to the call regulation.
