PORTO – PORTUGAL

The European Summer School in Porto is part of the project “The Interprofessional European Health Program in Higher Education”(eHealth4all@EU). It embeds eHealth topics into a social and management environment and endows future decision-makers with the necessary skills to adopt health IT and decide on its meaningful and appropriate implementation and use.
At the week-long summer school, you will attend lectures focusing on three important eHealth topics:

  • Interoperability
  • Data Analytics
  • Data Protection and Security

Case studies and problem-based learning will be used so you can interact and learn from other participants about eHealth systems and cultures across Europe and the importance of an interprofessional approach to the three topics. Observations and evaluations will be discussed in short debriefing sessions after each activity and at the end of the week in a dedicated team learning session.

This summer school is intended for Master´s or PhD. students in health care related areas (nursing, physiotherapy, midwifery, medicine, and alike) economics, law, engineering, informatics, or computer science.

Travel and accommodation grants for students enrolled in courses at the participating universities in Germany, Finland, and Portugal are available, please contact us.
