18. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

Aleksandr Isayevich Solzhenitsyn (1918 – 2008) was a Russian novelist, historian and political prisoner. Being an outspoken critic of the Soviet Union, he helped shed the light on Gulag labor camp prisons.
