Copan Building
Edifício Copan (Copan Building) is on its own an important tourist attraction and one of the city's most famous postcards. Designed by Oscar Niemeyer, it is the city's largest armed concrete structure. It has 6 blocks with 1160 apartments and a mini-mall at the ground floor. Its S-shaped architecture stands out. It has two entrances, one at Avenida São Luís 130/140 and another one, at Avenida Ipiranga 200.

Luz Railway Station
Estação da Luz (Luz Railway Station) was opened to the public in 1901. Its facilities take up an area of 7,500 square meters in Jardim da Luz and were built by the São Paulo Railway Company with structures brought from England that copy the Big Ben and the Westminster Abbey. Estação da Luz is one of the major proofs of the importance and development brought by the coffee crop not only to São Paulo but also to the state as a whole - it was necessary to transport the product from Jundiaí to the harbor of Santos, reason why the railway network was enlarged.
The São Paulo Railway Station, as it was officially known at that time, was very important until the Second World War. After that, it started to be replaced by air and highway transportation. Later on, the station started to be used for municipal trains
It is located downtown, at Cásper Líbero Avenue.

Luz Monastery
Mosteiro da Luz (Luz Monastery) belongs to Ordem das Irmãs Concepcionistas, who are nuns living in confinement. It is home to Museu de Arte Sacra (Sacred Art Museum), whose collection is comprised mostly of furniture, golden and silver objects and paintings and sculptures from the colonial period. Frei Galvão's remains, the monastery's founder, are there.

Viaduto do Chá

The first viaduct built in São Paulo, it was named Viaduto do Chá (Tea Viaduct) because it was near a large tea crop. Built with metal structure brought from Germany, a great party was held in its opening, in 1892. It links Rua Direita (old downtown) with Rua do Chá, now Rua Barão de Itapetininga (new downtown). In 1938, the former viaduct made of wooden ground was demolished, and a new one, made of concrete floor was built, twice wider. For many years, Viaduto do Chá has been the city's main postcard.

Largo do São Francisco
It is home to the School of Law of the University of São Paulo, the only one far from the university's campus - 20 kilometers, which did not change place due to a request made by the students. Important and famous people who are part of our history either graduated or studied there. Due to its architecture, in the form of arches, it is also called "Arcadas".

Municipal Market
Mercado Municipal (Municipal Market) opens to vendors at 2.30 a.m. and to the general public at 5.00 a.m., and closes at 16.00 p.m., from Mondays to Saturdays (closes on Sundays). It offers parking facilities. Mercado Municipal (former Mercado Central), opened in 1933, is a 10-meter high building with columns, domes, and windows with agricultural themes imported from Germany. It is an important supply and leisure center that offers a great variety of products, from fruit, vegetables, and poultry to seasonings, some of which available only there. It is the only place in the city where it is possible to find all types of fruit, regardless the time of the year.
It is located at Rua Cantareira, 306, downtown, between Rua 25 de Março and Parque D. Pedro II."
