Webinar on Recognition of Open Learning in Higher Education

EUA (European University Association) intends to discuss the issue of recognizing open learning at universities during the webinar entitled “Universities recognizing open learning: Are we approaching the worldwide open learning area?” on 17 December 14.00-15.10. The main topic will be whether skills learned in non-formal settings can be validated and awarded formal credentials, and how practice and experience with MOOC learning are likely to impact higher education learning and teaching in the future. You can register for the webinar at the latest by 16 December 15.00 CET via the following link. Participation is open to all members of EUA and EFQUEL (European Foundation for Quality in e-Learning).

Speakers will be Andreia Inamorato dos Santos (Joint Research Centre Sevilla), Kris Olds (University Madison Wisconsin), Kevin Guillaume (ENIC/NARIC and representative of Belgium/Wallonia in the BFUG) and Anthony Camilleri (VM-Pass project). Alastair Creelman (Linnaeus University, Sweden, and EFQUEL) will be the webinar moderator.
