In order to reduce the electricity bill these consumers contract the services of Energy Services Company (ESCO), characterized by energy consumption monitoring and definition of energy saving actions. However, additional energy savings could be obtained by implementing predictive control strategies for industrial processes and equipment like HVAC and by providing better insights about energy consumption through data mining and visualization tools. The purpose of this project is to adapt recent deep learning technology to design data-driven energy efficiency and optimization tools for control and decision-aid. The target market are industrial and agriculture consumers since show the higher potential for energy cost savings and are already adopting internet-of-things technology in the framework of Industry 4.0.
