BIP 3rd edition | Launching Session

Twelve technology-based projects will participate in the 3rd edition of the Business Ignition Programme, organized by U.Porto Inovação, CIIMAR and INESC TEC.

For 12 weeks the teams, composed of researchers and business elements, will work on a value proposition for their projects. During this time they will have access to mentors, methodologies and resources to help them transform innovative technologies into profitable business models.

The launching session of the 3rd edition, will take place at CIIMAR (Leixões Cruise Terminal) on the 1st of February at 14:30. In addition to the presentation of the ideas to the public, there will also be a presentation of the project and an introduction to the methodology adopted at the BIP by the Porto Business School / REACTOR.

BIP 2nd edition – Final session

The final session of the 2nd edition of the Business Ignition Programme will take place on 12 December. The presentation of the finalist ideas will take place at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (auditorium B032) at 09.00.
Over the past 12 weeks teams have worked to create value propositions for their projects with the support of mentors, methodologies and resources that have helped them transform innovative technologies into profitable business models. Now that the second edition comes to an end, the teams will present their pitch to the public.

It was three months of intense work, during which teams had the opportunity to develop the various elements of their business model, to fine-tune their solutions to concrete market and consumer problems, and even to develop their corporate image. The evolution of ideas is notorious and it will be a pleasure to share the culmination of yet another entrepreneurial journey.

The event, in addition to the presentation of ideas, will also be a place for networking around a coffee break. Registration for the session is free, but mandatory.

BIP Final Session on the 28th of July

The Final Session of the Business Ignition Programme will be held on 28 July, together with the faststart PORTO 2017 program.

Fifteen business ideas developed within these two acceleration programs will be presented at Porto Business School (EDP Auditorium) from 15:00 to 18:30.

Following the pitch sessions there will be the opportunity for networking during the coffee break and sunset drinks.

BIP kick-off on the 10th of May

Ten technology-based projects will participate in another edition of the BIP, organized by U.Porto Inovação, CIIMAR and INESC TEC.

For 12 weeks the teams, composed of researchers and business elements, will work on a value proposition for their projects. During this time they will have access to mentors, methodologies and resources to help them transform innovative technologies into profitable business models.

The inaugural session will take place at Porto Business School on May 10 at 12 noon. In addition to the presentation of the ideas to the public, there will also be a round table discussion with the project managers and the presentation of the methodology adopted at the BIP, presented by Fábrica de Startups.
