BIP Final Pitch Day

Bioaqua solutions won the 1st Edition of the BIP – Business Ignition Programme 2017. Ana Ferreira (CIIMAR), Cristina Calheiros (CIIMAR) and Ester Almeida (FEP), presented innovative nature-based solutions focusing on the sustainable construction, rehabilitation and maintenance of ponds, lakes and other water bodies.
The second place was awarded to AWASER, a service developed at the Faculty of Engineering of U.Porto (FEUP) for public and private entities with the need to monitor water quality, providing an effective solution for water sampling in hard-to-reach areas.
In third place was Cropeo, a technology developed to protect agricultural dry products from contamination during its storage period, based on the controlled release of essential oils with insecticide, fungicide and bactericide effects.
To distinguish the outstanding performance during the programme, Porto Business School awarded Ana Ferreira from Bioaqua Solutions with a full scholarship for a Magellan MBA.
